I bought some fiber at Detta's last weekend ... I think I will need about 2-3 lbs to make an XL sweater..... This Merino Top Multi in English Garden should be enough! Its only a couple of ounces shy of 3 lbs.
I'm going to keep practicing with other fiber until I'm sure of myself and I can spin a consistent single.

Have you actually spun on it? Like make a real yarn?
I wonder if I'm a bad influence for you. LOL
Anyway be careful, sometimes spinning take away my knitting time.
