WIPs

Geesh its been 2 months since I've blogged anything here. Let's see....what have I been knitting and what's in progress here.......I finished the Caliope Shell (in Cherry Red Shine from Knitpicks, Needles US3 & US4). The challenge now is to get the pictures of it up here. It really got me excited to knit something else with lace. I really enjoyed making this top. I hope Cathy likes it!

I'm about half-finished with the top-down Henley T. The pattern is from Knitting Pure & Simple and the yarn - Plymouth Encore Colorspun (worsted) in shades of blue. This is on size 9 needles.

And i'm struggling with a tubular caston for socks. I've done them before...I like this type of casting on for ribbed edges. However, I've added a new challenge. I'm attempting to do 2 socks at the same time on one circular (magic loop). My friend Rina helped out with the thought process on how to get started...and even started casting on for me...but when I took over the knits and slips and purls and slips got all mixed up so I ended up frogging and starting over. The socks are going to be for my DF and the yarn is Knitpicks Essentials in the Dusk (medium dusty blue) colorway. More to come on this.

Going to take a road trip this weekend up to Maple Grove and visit Amazing Threads and Yarn Cafe again. Looking for ribbon, maybe crystal palace deco, for another tank top for Jane. Maybe some cotton too...and maybe something to make a shawl from...something warm and snuggly that doesn't shed.

I bought all this chunky fuzzy blue yarn last summer at Amazing Threads and still haven't figured out what I'm going to do with it. I originally thought I'd make a poncho out of it but I've sorta changed my mind...what to do, what to do. Crochet or Knit. Maybe crochet....
