I haven't updated my page because there hasn't really been anything exciting or interesting to talk about. I have 2 projects (Same 2) on the needles - the Lime Calliope Shell and a pair of socks on 2 circuclars. Yes, 2 socks at once. This is the first pair so I am knitting with worsted to get the hang of it and understand the mechanics. Its really easy and I'm so happy that when I decrease for the toe(s) they will both be done at once.
They should have been finished in February but I haven't been knitting a lot lately. Alas, I'd better get going on that shell as it was supposed to be for LAST summer and I sure don't want it to stretch over another year! Cripes.
We did get up to Lutsen to ski over valentines/presidents day weekend. It was cold 2 of the 3 days we skied and the slopes were groomed but HARD. The last day was warmer and it snowed in the morning so those conditions greatly improved, however, the crowds also came to slopes in droves. At least when it was cold we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We spent this past Sunday at our local ski hill, Afton Alps, and the snow conditions were great and the temperature was perfect and the sun was out most of the afternoon (so we got a bit of sun also).
Its a gray day and it needs to rain and get it over with! I'm so glad we were able to enjoy the snow this weekend one last time. Now, on to Spring, dammit! The flock of robins in my front yard on Saturday morning looked at me as if it was MY fault that the snow still covered the lawns! The birds are here...bring on the worms!
